So Stop Leaving Putts Short!
Pillar #3 – Putting Adds Up Quickly
The Hard Truth
Hard fact: All putts short of the hole do not go in! So why are you leaving even the shortest of putts, short of the hole? What are you scared of? making a putt?
Yet most golfers ‘baby’ their putts because they’re scared of going by the hole. And the comebacker afterwards. Forget about the comeback putt. Your only job is to get this putt, the one you’re staring at, in the hole. So don’t leave it short!
Do This Now
• On long putts: try to finish 1 foot past the hole.
• Trust your short-putt comfort circle to clean up.
• If your putt dies short, you didn’t give it a chance.

Quick Drill
• Game: for 20 minutes, every putt must finish past the hole (unless it drops). Count how many you ‘left short.
