Eyes Discipline for Better Starts
Pillar #3 – Putting Adds Up Quickly
The Hard Truth
If your eyes track the putter, your shoulders move. If your shoulders move, your face changes. If your face changes, your putt misses.
It’s not mysterious. It’s physics plus bad habits.
Do This Now
• Set up and focus eyes on the back of the ball.
• Keep eyes down until you hear the ball drop—or at least until the putter finishes.
• Trust the stroke. Stop micromanaging mid-motion.
Quick Drill
• Drill: putt while holding your finish and counting ‘one-one-thousand’ before looking up.
