To properly record your golf swing, here is a best-practices guide.

  1. Record a clear, unobstructed video of your golf swing from two angles (face-on and down-the-line).
    • Use a tripod, monopod, or other device to securely steady your digital device when recording. Another person assisting will also work.
    • Ensure good lighting and a clean background.
    • Use a smartphone or camera that can capture high-quality footage.
    • Always select the fastest shutter speed to eliminate the shaft of the golf club from blurring.
    • Aim the camera lens at your hands from both the down-the-line and the face-on views. While ensuring there’s enough room in the camera frame to show your full swing from address to the top of your swing, to your follow-through. From the down-the-line view, ensure there is a clear, visible target you’re aiming for.
